If your like me I am not a huge fan of having a sound play every time windows starts up. Below are the steps you would need to follow to turn off the startup sound in Windows Vista.

1. Click on the start button and type in sound. Select sound from the list.

2. Click on the sounds tab.

3. Remove the check from play windows startup sound.

4. Click on ok.
